Newbiggin Learning Hive - 0.8 FTE -28 hrs per week - Actual Salary £24,804 per annum plus 5% Pension Contribution
Ashington Learning Hive - 0.6 FTE - 26 hrs per week - Actual Salary £18,603 per annum plus 5% Pension Contribution
(Salaries equivalent to £33,219 for 37.5 hr week)
Help local adults take their next step through learning.
You will lead one of our community-based Learning Hive, creating welcoming and practical learning opportunities for people who may not feel ready for a traditional classroom. You will have the freedom to build relationships locally, shape activities around residents’ needs and see the direct difference your support makes.
We are seeking two motivated and experienced Community Engagement Tutors to deliver our Learning Hive provision in Newbiggin by the Sea and Ashington, Northumberland. This is an exciting opportunity to shape our community-based learning offer, engage local people and partners, and provide high-quality support that helps learners progress.
Ideally you will be a fully qualified tutor, with experience in engaging and supporting adult and family learners in a range of community settings. However, we’re also keen to hear from applicants who are newly qualified or working towards a teaching qualification at Level 5 or above. You’ll need to be creative and practical as you'll deliver a wide range of activities to learners ranging in age from 0 - 90, but most importantly, you will be a sympathetic and supportive teacher, with a genuine desire to help people improve their lives through learning.
Sessional Family Learning Tutors - £32.97 per hour (including holiday entitlement)
